Welcome to ELA 30-2
ELA 30-2 is designed to improve and strengthen oral and written communication skills and provide students with the opportunity to develop their skills in reading, writing, listening, viewing and representing. The aim of senior high English Language is to encourage, in students, an understanding and appreciation of the significance and artistry of literature, also to enable each student to understand and appreciate language and use it confidently and competently for a variety of purposes. Throughout the term we will be studying a selected balance of literature such as the short story, poetry, essays, non-fiction, novels, modern drama and film.

Students will read, write, listen, speak, view and represent to:
1. Explore thoughts, ideas, feelings and experiences.
2. Comprehend literature and other texts in oral, print, visual and multimedia forms, and respond personally, critically/analytically and creatively.
3. Manage ideas and information.
4. Create oral, print, visual and multimedia texts, and enhance the clarity and artistry of communication.
5. Respect, support and collaborate with others.
